Wind farm Spiesheim

The project
In the repowering project in the Alzey-Worms district, we replaced five old turbines of the Spiesheim wind farm. These old turbines were errected in 1997 with a modell of the latest generation (Enercon E-40) and each with a capacity of 500 kilowatts. The new turbines have a nominal capacity of 5.6 megawatts, a rotor diameter of 150 meters and a total height of almost 250 meters and, therefore, alone generate almost four times the output of all five old turbines combined.

Technology makes the difference
The technology surrounding renewable energies is advancing rapidly: we take advantage of this for the optimization of plant locations within the scope of repowering projects. For more yield, more added value and even more climate protection.
